ERA - 1950s
LABEL - No makers label
TYPE - Coat
COLOR - Pink/grey/black
FEATURES - What an adorable swing coat! I love this rosy pink boucle textile with a grey background/undertone. Luxurious jet black velvet trim on the collar and cuffs. Button-up closures. It does have pockets (although they are shallow). Love the large collar design. The lining in this coat is the icing on the cake. Iredecant pink that shifts to blueish purple and is printed with the cutest poodle figures. So adorable. Every detail is so well thought out and cohesive. Real warm and cozy stand piece from the 50s.
MATERIAL - Feels like a wool
CONDITION - Good condition - there are a couple of spots in the lining as well as a small section in the center seams that shows a bit of stressing. This piece came from a theater department's wardrobe (from my understanding they cleaned and processed every garment that came into their collection). I have not dry-cleaned this coat (I can not detect any odors or stains on the exterior). I would recommend dry cleaning only for this piece and by a trusted individual/company. I do think the staining on the lining could lift with the proper technique.
